| Noted professor François Roche was the director of Le Creusot's most prominent theatre, and then headed the Franco-Japanese Institute in Tokyo and the French Institute in Florence. He also served in the Foreign Affairs Ministry, at the General Direction of Cultural, Scientific, and Technical Relations, which at the time was under the direction of current French Ambassador to the United States, Jean-David Lévitte. He is now teaching international cultural relations at Paris VIII and Lyon II, and, as an associate professor of political science, directs a program on "International Cultural Relations and Exchanges Law" at the Institute of Political Studies in Lyon. |
