Duo Astor: Guitare classique
Concert organized in collaboration with the Délégation Générale de l'Alliance Française in Washington, D.C., and with the support of BNP Paribas and the AFAA.

Last January, the Astor Duo and the Berkeley Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Kent Nagano came together for a world premiere. Today, the duo returns alone. Concert artists of the highest standing, and teachers in Seville, they form a duo reminiscent of the Presti-Lagoya pairing, a duo formed by talent and grace. Without a score, yet without hesitation, the couple display a lively and joyful mastery, as well as a dazzling variety of expression, and bathe their audience in the radiant warmth of both their musical commitment and the collaborative spirit that exists between them.

On the program are works by Fernando Sor, Arnaud Dumond, Dusan Bogdanovic, Frank Burkhart, Mario Castelnuevo and Manuel de Falla.
